FAMILY FUN | Our Cochin and Trivandrum campuses recently hosted 'Tints and Tones' weekend events, with colleagues and their families taking part in indoor and outdoor fun. The activities kicked off with drawing and colouring-in sessions, moving on to carnival games, live caricature art, balloon making and...*sparkle* a magic show! The highlight? The horse riding, followed closely by trampoline jumping. Kids and grown-ups alike enjoyed energetic dance-offs hosted by a DJ; there were refreshments on hand, including a very popular chocolate fountain. It was grand! Thanks to everyone that came along and our stellar colleagues in HR for organising these lively events.
As part of our Learning and Development program, we recently hosted a virtual AWS Security Gameday Hackathon, an opportunity for our colleagues to learn about AWS services through gamification. Jayan P, Senior VP and Head of Human Resources, welcomed the participants, highlighting the value of such sessions in upskilling teams on security issues, as organisations move to the cloud. Despatch from our colleague Akio Kaminishi in Tokyo, Japan, where 'sakura', the delicate cherry blossoms, are in full bloom. "Sakura season is a special time for Japanese people. Traditionally, we get together with family, friends, and colleagues for 'hanami', blossom watch parties; we enjoy picnics under the cherry trees and create special memories with the blossoms. Graduation ceremonies, school and office welcome parties are held at this time,” says Akio. "In the past few years, we've refrained from gathering because of Covid, we hope to have parties again next year."

Travel Funders Network (TFN), the distribution platform founded by online hotel industry veterans Bob Diener and David Litman, has partnered with IBS Software primarily to expand TFN’s network of resorts and casinos in Las Vegas. TFN has signed a multi-year deal to use IBS Software’s iHospitality Gateway distribution solution, giving TFN real-time access to its established distribution network of hotels and resorts in Las Vegas. Working with IBS Software gives TFN the ability to connect to premium properties that are already part of the iHospitality Network – including the likes of Circus Circus, Treasure Island and many more. TFN then empowers participating hotels to effectively and efficiently manage customer demand – guaranteeing volume and allowing them to set their own rates and access a wide array of public and private distribution channels. As well as helping TFN significantly expand its network in Las Vegas, iHospitality Gateway also provides access to premium partner hotels and resorts in destinations such as the Caribbean and Mexico.
Alaska Air Cargo selects IBS Software's iCargo for its air cargo business. IBS Software has signed a long-term agreement with Alaska Air Cargo to transform and modernize its air cargo IT ecosystem, implementing its full suite cargo management solution across the air cargo business of Alaska Airlines. iCargo will digitally transform Alaska Air Cargo’s sales & inventory, cargo terminal operations, air mail handling and revenue accounting, and mobile applications. Additionally, iCargo will enable the airline to have an end-to-end view of its air cargo value chain activities and provide important operational insights across the entire network.
