It was indeed a smooth process. The coordination and the timeframes maintained were excellent. We truly transitioned into the digital age and the onboarding experience was proof of it. The team has been great and we have a weekly meeting which makes it easier for each other to stay updated. Everyone has each other’s back, which is the mark of an ideal team. At an organization, the bonding becomes difficult holistically, but, the teams keep KYTs and Leadership connects to bridge any gaps. There is a sense of belongingness and relatability, as we are all on track with what the organization is up to and what the future holds. While challenging considering the off-site situation, we have been able to experience the culture to an extent in terms of how the company conducts itself and how much it values its employees.
My onboarding process was initiated smoothly; all required documents were furnished beforehand by uploading them. I had presumed that there would be different sessions for my onboarding that would give me an overview of the company. I received an official laptop to my address and the Network management team connected with me on the same day to set up everything on the laptop. I was surprised to see the seamless onboarding process. After my initial call with HR, I was assigned a pathway to complete. This pathway took me to a learning experience platform with a list of articles, demo videos, etc., which gave me a complete overview of company policies. On the next day of joining had one on one discussion with the manager and he shared details about my role, responsibilities, and expectations. After a few days of joining, I felt very happy about my team members, buddy and HRBP for their support and friendliness. I can easily reach them anytime when I am stuck in the middle. Overall, the onboarding process was very smooth, and I am happy.
I joined Impetus on 1st Nov 2021. I had received my laptop 2 days before my joining date. Day 1 was Induction and then I had my interaction with the group of HRs and the networking team who helped me in configuring my laptop. From the next day onwards, I was able to attend all the Induction related programs through the company’s laptop. All the onboarding sessions were organized virtually, but through webcam and friendly conversations, everything was made comfortable. A big credit goes to the Odyssey program as this helped me to know the company in its true sense. Adding supervisor and buddy connect gives us a good point of contact, as this is really required for a new employee. And from the technical aspects, the ramp-up program added good confidence in me before starting the work on the live project.
