I got married when I was just 15 years old. Now, at 29, I have two children, and I successfully run one of the Dexter centers in Gurgaon. Dexter is a load processing center run by third parties that helps with location-wise sorting of shipments and assigning them to delivery partners. This Dexter has been existing for the past 6 years, and before me, it was my husband who was managing it. Unfortunately, he passed away two years ago, and that is when I got a call to be interviewed for this work opportunity. Before I knew it, I was hired and made in charge of the Dexter Center. I have never had the chance to work before, and joining Dexter provided me with the opportunity to become the breadwinner for my family after my husband’s passing. It is because of this opportunity that I am able to provide for and educate my children, and I have nothing but gratitude towards Myntra. I am lucky to have a very supportive network of 22 people in my Dexter center. My co-workers have always gone above and beyond to support me. I had started working for the first time and didn’t come with any skill set; everything I know today is something I learned through upskilling and hands-on training to help me perform better. My role here is to ensure that the shipments that reach my Dexter center are further segregated in the correct manner to be delivered to Myntra customers. I’m proud to say that, out of the 34 Dexters in Gurgaon, mine is the only one that is managed by a woman. Read more...
Returning to the corporate world after almost a decade through Myntra's Phoenix program was a leap of faith. Yet, it proved to be a transformative experience that defied my expectations. Despite joining a charter that was entirely new to me, I was entrusted with high-impact projects from day one. It didn't matter that this charter practically didn't exist during my previous tenure. At Myntra, passion and ownership are valued above all else. If you're eager to learn and take ownership, Myntra will provide the support you need to thrive. The program's flexibility allowed me to transition back to work at my own pace, with options like remote working, smoothing the path forward. They recognized my passion and drive, leaving no stone unturned to foster my growth and development. In just six months, I went from being part of the team to leading it. It was a big achievement for me, made possible with the support and encouragement from everyone. I am provided with the autonomy to drive the charter independently, in a meaningful way. I am incredibly grateful for the inclusive culture at Myntra that offers a launch pad for second innings. My story is a testament to Myntra's unwavering dedication to investing in its people—particularly women like me, seeking to reignite their professional journey. Through their Phoenix program, Myntra not only empowers individuals but also cultivates a culture of inclusivity, growth, and opportunity.
Myntra's inclusive policies are changing mindsets across the board. When we have these conversations around sensitization, and when we talk about policies in the workforce, it’s not just for women, men are also listening. It becomes a collateral influence for men to understand that women need this kind of support. Myntra isn’t just a workplace—it is a progressive force driving change and empowerment, where women are not just welcomed but celebrated for their unique contributions and experiences. One of the first things that struck me was Myntra's liberal and forward-looking approach towards inclusion, especially for women, particularly when it comes to aspects like maternity leave and returning to work after childbirth. Myntra recognizes the importance of providing personalized support tailored to the multi-faceted challenges faced by working mothers, actively creating opportunities for them to thrive at their workplace. My journey at Myntra took an unexpected turn when I embarked on my maternity leave, which extended beyond the standard duration, due to some unforeseen complications. Coming back to work after almost a year away was daunting, to say the least, but I was welcomed back with open arms and unwavering support. There was no judgment or bias against the time I had spent away; instead, there was a genuine desire to ensure I feel comfortable, as I reintegrated back into the workforce. Myntra's support extended beyond mere words; it was reflected in tangible actions.
